Three miles north-east from Carriacou, rocky
and barren, Petit Martinique measures less than 2 kmq.
and has a population of 900, still living following the past customs,
folklore, typival dances of the colonial era.
There is nothing: not a single restautant, resort or hotels; doctor
comes just once a week.
The only beach in front of the village is located on the western side,
elsewhere only rocks.
The interior of the island is overlooked by the Piton, 229 high
exactly in the center.
From the top there is obviously a wonderful view. |
