TURKS & CAICOS HISTORY

From sugar slaves to global tourism

TURKS & CAICOS: NORTH CAICOS

North Caicos is known for its extraordinary beach, 10 kilometers of uninterrupted white sand, overlooking an aquamarine lagoon. In the villages of Bottle Creek, on the east coast, you will find Kew in the middle, Whitby and Sandy Point on the north. There live 1500 inhabitants. The Flamingo Pond populated by flamingos is beautiful.
Inside the island there are the remains of an old cotton plantation, Wades Green. Through a chain of small rocks, at low tide you can reach the nearby island of Middle Caicos by walking.
