Guana Island is a
private island on the north side of
Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.
Under the direction of owners Henry and
Gloria Jarecki, it has become an
important nature preserve and wildlife
sanctuary with one of the richest
collections of tropical plant and animal
species in the Caribbean. Guests will
enjoy miles of hiking trails, seven
beaches, outstanding snorkeling, tennis
courts, and most importantly, peaceful
solitude. White-washed stone cottages
for thirty-two guests are set high on a
ridge with spectacular views of nearby
islands. Each spacious room has a king
or twin beds, a private patio or porch,
ceiling fans, and an ensuite bathroom
with a large freeform shower large
enough for two. Candlelight dinners on
verandahs or the terrace feature
excellent "Caribbean Continental
Cuisine". North Beach Cottage, is a
secluded one-bedroom beach house with
its own living room, kitchen, sundecks, fresh
water pool as well as a sea pool, offers
the ultimate in privacy. |
