DIVING Coral formations, fish of every shape and color and
majestic walls
that plunge to hundreds of meters into the blue, Almost 200 wrecks, clear water with visibility of 60 meters, and above all, an
organization among the best and more secure of the world.
There are more than 100 diving spots just around
Grand Cayman.
The most popular are:
Grand Canyon, a chasm that drops to over 2,000 m.
to the bottom of the ocean, the "Balboa" and "Green Gold" wrecks and
"Stingray City" at North Sound where, with a little luck, you can swim
together with lots of giant rays virtually just under the surface. At Cayman Brac particularly interesting diving are the descent into
the M.V. Capt. Keith Tibbets, a Russian frigate of 95 m. sank in 1996
on purpose to make a submarine attraction, just half a mile off the
west end of the isle: is located at a depth of 9 / 30 m.
and can be easily reached and observed also snorkeling.
The most famous spot of Little Cayman is Bloody
Bay Wall, a vertical
wall that sinks to a depth of about 3,000 m.
